Sometimes all it takes is a corner of your garage to get going and build bikes from scratch. Justin’s backyard operation is the epitome of following your dreams goals. His designs are inspired by nature, like the fiddlehead fern, and classical aesthetics, creating bikes that are both beautiful and functional.

One thing I found common between all the builders I met is the complete encapsulation with the process once the blowtorch is lit up. The crackling, hum and all the sounds create an almost spiritual sensation of calmness, as the flames pour around the joint and the flux bubbles. Watching the frame slowly come together from raw materials + fire adds another layer of sacredness to the whole process of building custom steel bikes.
