This collaborative Rapha x OMTM ride captured the ruggedness of the Entiat Mountains and transformed it into an unforgettable experience with top-tier route composition, calculated match-burning segments and screaming descents, and optional port-ride river dips in the Wenatchee.
De Ronde Van Oeste Portlandia, crafted by Hugh Givens and Brad Ross, is a testament to Portland’s cycling culture, drawing inspiration from the storied Tour of Flanders. This ride is a narrative woven through the city’s undulating landscape, marked by iconic yellow lions that guide cyclists on a journey of endurance and camaraderie. It’s an evolving tradition that celebrates the spirit of the community and the joy of conquering Portland’s challenging topography.
From the palm groves and carved cliffs of Al Ula, this route climbs onto the Harra “volcanic mesa” west of town, where black lava fields stretch to the horizon and camels cut their own lines through the landscape. The descent drops you back into red sandstone canyons and narrow wadis before rolling through the oasis again. A compact loop that shows how many worlds exist in a few hours of riding.
